At a pre-agreed time, a private transfer will take you to Santiago Domestic Airport for your flight to Temuco. Once you arrive in the south, another transfer will escort you to your hotel in the heart of the magnificent Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve.

The Reserve will immerse you in the depths of a forest, the likes of which exist only in a few places on Earth. You can enjoy going into the heights of the mountains, take in the sky and its astronomy through inspired stories in the worldview of native peoples, appreciate birds, paddle in waters like mirrors banks, ride on prairies, fish in protected rivers and lagoons, feel the adrenaline of adventures such as rafting, mountain bike, canopy and others, or simply learn the stories kept by the inhabitants of these places.

Spend the afternoon exploring your surroundings on one of the self-guided tours available to you including various trails along rivers or to waterfalls, or a visit to the Volcano Museum.

Private Half-Day Tour: Horseback Riding

Embark on a horseback adventure and stroll through a forest of ancient mañíos, coigües, oaks, and raulíes, encountering nearly the entire Nothofagus family that thrives in the temperate rainforest. This 5-kilometer journey lasts 2 hours, requiring some riding experience or a willingness to learn. If you’re a novice, the guides will provide all the necessary instruction to get you started on this adventure.

After lunch, take the rest of the day to explore with some self-guided tours around the reserve.

Private Full-Day Tour: Geometrical Hot Springs & Local Ruca Experience

Enjoy a picturesque drive from your hotel to the Termas Geométricas Hot Springs. The natural baths source their thermal waters at 80 ºC from over sixty springs along a previously inaccessible 500-meter ravine, nestled in a native forest near Villarrica Sur National Park. Thanks to the transformation of the stunning national reserve, visitors can now leisurely bathe in one of eleven stone pools filled with pure hot thermal water, all amidst the rugged beauty of nature, enhanced by thoughtful architecture. Additionally, there are 20 pools connected by footbridges that span 450 meters of the natural ravine.

Once you’ve soaked in the refreshing water, you’ll return to your hotel for a delicious dinner and to rest for the evening.

If you’re new to the sports or simply want to polish your skills, take a class at the on site ski and snowboard school. If you’re looking for something different, enquire at the hotel for snowkite lessons and snowshoeing experiences too!
